I like the lines in this building. It’s very Mies van der Rohe though I think I’ve looked at I don’t think he has any buildings in Portland…

…no. Nor does Minoru Yamasaki have any buildings listed in Portland, who is actually the person I was thinking of. Van der Rohe was into pillars at the bottom of his buildings (which you can’t see here) and Yamasaki was into pillars that continued all the way up the buildings (he designed the World Trade Center in New York, for example).


Lines. Columns. White stone against a grey sky. I took some other shots of the building but I thought this one was the most striking.
